Brown, email [©1998 All rights reserved.] ************************************************************************* BURIALS IN THE GWINN CEMETERY The Gwinn Cemetery is located about three miles below Terry on New River, on the "Round Bottom" tract. John "Squire" Gwinn of Meadow Bridge bought this land from Isaac and Elizabeth Sanner in 1855. He later gave the land to his son, Laban, who settled there before the Civil War. Laban divided the land between his three sons, George Loomis Gwinn, Lewis Sherman Gwinn, and John H. Gwinn. Many members of these families are buried in the Gwinn cemetery, as well as some people from other families of the area.
